Farewell Nanchang

I have to admit, I'm a little sad about this being our last day in Nanchang.  It's hard to believe that exactly one week ago today we met our little girl for the very first time.  This has definitely been a week that I will never forget.  Time does fly when you are having fun.  We may have endured a few tears this week, but we have had a wonderful time and wouldn't change one minute.  Five years of waiting are all but a distant memory.

Today we walked along the board walk of the "new" city, went to the zoo, and went out to eat this afternoon with friends.  Yep, you know what I'm going to say - another perfect day :)  Tomorrow all 12 babies and their families will be flying to Guangzhou to visit the US Consulant.  I feel a little bit sorry for anyone who had the misfortune of booking that flight with us.

The twins in our group on the boardwalk!

Dave and Leah check out the white lions.

I'll be honest, Dave and I enjoyed the zoo more than the girl did.  She was more interested in the railing than the elephants.  Maybe when she is older we will go back.

Leah being silly at lunch.

This evening a professional calligrapher came to the hotel to make signs for our girls.  On the sign is Leah's chinese name, her place of birth, her birthday and our wish for her as she grows older.

Our guides.  Two absolutely wonderful ladies.

Each night our group meets in the hallway to visit and let the girls play.

It's interesting that Miss Leah isn't nearly so happy and smiley when someone else besides her parents are holding her. Wow, has it really just been a little over a week! Can't wait for you to get home so I can see Leah in person. And, Cary you just glow when you're holding that sweet child.
